Name the outcome you are counting
A contact, an estimate, a booked job, and a paid invoice describe different stages. Decide who records each stage and how duplicate or non-qualifying contacts are reviewed.
For inquiry-based billing, compare records with the definition in the written agreement. Confirm what evidence is available, the review process, and the terms for any credit.
Check what a calculation includes
The site’s planning calculator multiplies inquiries by an assumed close rate to estimate jobs, then multiplies the unrounded result by an assumed job value. Those are editable examples, not CMM prices or customer results.
Gross revenue divided by lead spend is a revenue multiple. Profit and return on investment require an agreed cost basis and reliable revenue data, including costs beyond the inquiry charge.
Use the numbers to ask better questions
Compare the assumptions with your own capacity, job mix, and records. An expected fractional job is a modelling value, not a partially booked real project.
Ask which tracking and reporting capabilities CMM can currently provide. Agree on access, updates, ownership, and the full scope in writing before relying on a report or a projected outcome.
